Special Fuse Units with CANopen
RRFSxx units are designated to protect electrical circuits of rolling stock and provide actual fuse status information to the vehicle control system. Each fuse status is read by internal electronics. This information together with supplementary universal inputs/outputs is controlled by vehicle control system via communication line. For this communication is used CAN interface with CANopen DS 401 protocol. The units meet the requirements of EN 50155 (Electronic equipment of rolling stock) class TX and related standards.
CAN connectors are concatenated (simpler cabling). Unit network address is set by wiring on power supply connector (geographic configuration). This solution allows simple unit configuration during potential service or exchange. The signal connectors as well as power supply connector are WAGO type X-COM.
